The story follows Riley McKendry (played by Odessa A’zion), a young woman struggling with drug addiction. After discovering an ancient, ornate puzzle box (the Lament Configuration), she unwittingly summons the Cenobites, a group of sadistic supernatural beings from another dimension. The film explores themes of addiction and the "next fix" as a parallel to the pursuit of extreme sensations.
